When well-known recruitment and HR professional, Clare McCartin joined Davidson’s Executive & Boards team in September 2015 as General Manager for Victoria she was tasked with building the team from scratch.
Her extraordinary success not only saw her named Australia's top Recruiter of the Year 2016 by SEEK, it also so saw Clare appointed to the role Senior Partner for the Executive business in Victoria.
Having started her career in recruitment in 2002, Clare has built a reputation for pushing the boundaries on the use of tech, science and data in recruitment and introducing a collaborative approach which sees every job shared by two consultants.
However, for Clare, the sign of success is the wonderful and long-lasting relationships she has with clients and candidates alike who value her as a strategic partner and someone who is driven to always getting them the right results time and time again.
Part of this drive to always look for new avenues for her valued contacts saw Clare develop in 2016 the concept for the Top 50 Public Sector Women initiative in Victoria, which has now expanded into NSW. The annual platform has become a significant event in the public sector calendar every year and has partners across all tiers of government.
Clare holds a Masters of Commerce (HR & ER) from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology) from La Trobe University.
In her personal time, Clare likes spending time with her husband and two young boys, travelling and trying to train her small puppy.
