Having worked with some of the world’s leading companies in the sector during his 22 years in recruitment, Jon Hottot joined Davidson in August 2017 as General Manager (Queensland), Executive & Boards before advancing to his current role as Partner.
He is incredibly proud of the capacity his role affords him to change people’s lives in a positive manner and takes this responsibility very seriously. It’s this passion, which has seen Jon become a pioneer within the sector on the importance of delivering a consistent and empathetic approach to candidate engagement which is about communication, understanding and long-term engagement.
Jon is a member of the Australian HR Institute and holds a Bachelor of Arts conferred from the UK’s University of Reading. He is also an Accredited Talegent interpreter, allowing him to debrief candidates on their psychometric scores.
During his time with Davidson, Jon has:
• Led the recruitment of 16 Queensland Hospital and Health CEOs
• Managed multiple roles across the Executive of Townsville City Council
• Led the recruitment process for hiring the CEO and a number of other executives for Racing Queensland, to name a few.
In his own time, Jon is a cricket coach for West’s in Brisbane and studying to become a qualified tennis coach. He is also passionate about helping young entrepreneurs take their idea to the seed funding process.
