Job Description

Family Safety Victoria (FSV) was established in mid-2017 to implement the key recommendations from the Royal Commission into Family Violence.  It is the first government agency dedicated to ending family violence by ensuring people with lived experience and people with specialist expertise inform and guide the reform. FSV delivers key initiatives to help protect, support and identify risk for those impacted by family violence and hold perpetrators to account. It also coordinates access to services that support vulnerable children and families.
As an administrative office within the Department of Health & Human Services you will have accountability to the Minister and Secretary and lead a dedicated team of professionals engaging with the sector to make a meaningful difference. The CEO will take an active leadership role in delivering on the 10 year Family Violence Industry Plan, partnering with the sector in building workforce capacity and capability. With 5 of 17 Support and Safety Hubs already established across the state, you will plan for the further 12 sites to ensure these deliver the difference needed. FSV is also leading the implementation of the information sharing platform and this CEO role will play a critical role in working with stakeholders from across government and the broader family violence sector to ensure this is achieved.
A recognised leader in the community and social services sector, you ideally bring a strong understanding of family violence and knowledge of contemporary issues in service delivery. You bring a key strength in stakeholder management and engagement, understanding of government and have proven experience navigating complexity. An energised and engaging leader, you are motivated by the impact a role such as this can have at a state level and you are excited by the challenge ahead.
