The Digital Content Producer will play a key role in creating digital content across social media, publishing sites, email and websites in the format of photography, videography, animation, audio, design and writing. The position will report to the Manager Communications and Marketing and will form part of the Communications and Marketing Team, and Innovation and Organisational Improvement division. It involves strong liaison with the CEO, Mayor, Councillors, Directors, Managers and staff.
The Digital Content Producer will undertake a tactical approach to creating content; and will utilise research to identify emerging trends and strategies, explore new and emerging technologies which support the creation of innovative design solutions, and deliver communications that meet the City of Ballarat's strategic goals and requirements. The position is accountable for the ongoing development of the City of Ballarat’s digital presence, and driving the organisation to be proactive and strategic about the utilisation of online and digital channels.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, the City of Ballarat are seeking a dynamic, innovative and energetic digital content producer with experience in the development of digital media campaigns and the innovative use of emerging technologies. Furthermore, you will demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement capabilities with the confidence to navigate complex relationships both internal and external to your organisation. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as digital marketing, graphic design, multimedia, communications and/or public relations, or significant experience in a similar digital communications and marketing role are expected coupled with the ability to demonstrate a strong tactical approach to designing content.
