Join an energetic, contemporary and progressive Council, in this newly created role at the City of Ballarat Council. Working for council will unlike a marketing studio, the sales parts are not required but you can be creative and involved in designing campaigns that sell the city of Ballarat.
The Coordinator Creative Studio will play a key role in content creation, brand management, digital content, design and creative strategy, and the execution of marketing and communication campaigns via digital, social and traditional media for events, major projects, services and initiatives for the City of Ballarat and Council.
The position will report to the Manager Communications and Marketing and will form part of the Communications and Marketing Team, and Innovation and Organisational Improvement division.
This position will liaise with the CEO, Mayor, Councillors, Directors, Managers and staff; and will play a key role in ensuring the City of Ballarat and Council are communicated and marketed to the media, the community and other stakeholders in a positive customer‐oriented light.
The role will focus on innovation, which may include undertaking data and trend analysis to inform on relevant campaign design and content creation, as well as understanding the media type required for various stakeholder groups.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, the City of Ballarat are seeking a dynamic, innovative and energetic creative with experience in either graphic design, video production or animation. Furthermore, you will demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement capabilities with the confidence to navigate complex relationships and to interact with the Mayor, Councillors, and various levels of the organisation and with key external stakeholders. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as digital marketing, graphic design, multimedia, communications or public relations, or significant experience in a similar digital communications and marketing role are expected coupled with the ability to demonstrate a strong tactical approach to digital and online communications, which is focused on the communication needs of target markets.
