The Marketing Officer will play a key role in developing and implements key communications and marketing strategies for the organisation to promote Ballarat. The position reports to the Coordinator City Marketing and will be a key member of the Communications and Marketing Team, which is part of the Innovation and Organisational Improvement division. Responsible for implementing key communications and marketing strategies for the whole organization to promote Ballarat.
Specifically, the Marketing Officer will be responsible for the development and implementation of proactive, high‐impact and multi‐channel marketing and advertising campaigns that promote Ballarat. Furthermore the Marketing officer will operate as a marketing advisor for City of Ballarat business units, CEO, Mayor and Councillors to develop and implement innovative end‐to‐end marketing strategies and campaigns; and compiling copy and collateral for events, projects, services and initiatives to enhance the communications and relations between Council, the City of Ballarat, the media, the community and the broader region.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, the City of Ballarat are seeking a dynamic, innovative and energetic Marketing Officer with demonstrated experience in the development and execution of a broad range of innovative marketing and advertising campaigns and. You will demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement capabilities with the confidence to navigate complex stakeholder relationships both internal and external to your organisation. Tertiary qualifications in Marketing / Public Relations / Communications coupled with experience working within a government department, media or similar organisation that has required political sensitivity will be expected. The ability to speak both English and Mandarin would be of benefit.
