The Melbourne & Olympic Parks Trust (M&OP) manages one of the world’s greatest and most loved sporting, entertainment and community precincts for the benefit of all Victorian’s.
As a precinct spanning 40 hectares, Melbourne & Olympic Parks has grown and evolved significantly over 100 years to cater for Victoria’s passion for sport and entertainment, boasting world class venues such as Rod Laver Arena, AAMI Park, Margaret Court Arena and Melbourne Arena and many more that can transform to meet the needs of a variety of events and audiences year-round. 
The precinct welcomes more than 2.5 million people annually, notably hosting the Australian Open and the city’s most celebrated national and international, sports and entertainment events. It is home to ten national sporting teams, upwards of 900 community activities and 470 contracted days across its venues each year.
Reporting to the newly appointed CEO, John Harnden and being a vital part of the M&OP leadership team, this role will lead strategic communications and stakeholder relations. At the center of this role will be driving a clear narrative for this globally recognised precinct. Leveraging greater access to data and insights, you will lead the further development of digital channels and promote the positive stories of experiences. Leading a small but highly capable team, you will work across the organisation and take accountability for establishing and coordinating a Strategic Stakeholder Management Plan.    
A highly regarded strategic communications professional, you bring a proven background in leading a diverse communications function, including media, internal and external communications, government relations, branding and digital. You have a strategic mindset whilst also a willingness to work operationally in a small team environment and take pride in the use of data to inform insights. You are known for your confident, yet self-effacing style and have demonstrated experience influencing complex stakeholder management environments.
