With a CEO determined to restore trust between the organisation and the community it serves, the sense of legacy that this role can achieve is almost limitless. You will report directly to the CEO and sit on the Executive leadership team with a remit to oversee the critical areas of ICT, Finance, procurement, Legal and Corporate Governance and People and Culture. As the organisation undergoes meaningful transformation, this position will be expected to provide visionary leadership that engages with the teams that report into it. This position will be expected to deliver against the key deliverables of the recently completed whole of Council transformation strategy and the overall raising of the workplace performance. In addition, this role will be expected to frequently keep the Council apprised on the overall organisational performance.
You will be a senior Executive with a demonstrated track record of performance improvement in large and complex organisations (not necessarily Local Government). Your leadership style has seen you engage with your teams but you also do not compromise on performance or behaviour in your drive to leave a legacy of a high performing and inclusive team. You will have relevant business focused graduate and post graduate qualifications as well as the ability to take a holistic view of the internal and external influence of Council.
