As the Director Community, you will report directly to an experienced and supportive CEO and form an integral member of their collaborative “one team” executive. This is your opportunity to take the leadership of a well-functioning team who oversee the provision of a wide range of community focused programs and services and tap into your own contemporary leadership to support them to take their programs and services to deliver innovative outcomes for the Monash community.  Key to your success will be your capacity to lead infrastructure planning issues to ensure the needs of the Monash community are being met now and into the future. Furthermore, you will confidently work with and form trusted relationships with the CEO, the executive and the councillors on key strategic priorities and projects.
To be successful in this role, you will be a proven Local Government Executive who is well recognised for inspiring large community services teams, including those delivering recreation services. You will demonstrate contemporary thinking, political nous and an approach that is both collaborative and credible. You are used to working at pace and can balance both strategic priorities and operational effectiveness with sound project management principles. Furthermore you are an exceptional people leader who is known for cultivating high performing teams.
