Reporting to the CEO, the General Manager, Engagement will engage with a wide range of stakeholders including members, partners and sponsors. Using a member centered design approach, you will create, review and evaluate offerings for individuals ensuring maximum value to members and partner organisations. The General Manager Engagement will drive compelling and differentiated experiences for members and others. From a strategic perspective, the General Manager Engagement will utilise industry data and apply to new offerings in line with a soon to-be-finalised bold new organisational strategic plan.
The successful candidate will have a strong sales and commercial focus with exceptional relationship building skills. With the ability to develop long term relationships across all levels within government and universities, and the private and not-for-profit sectors, you will be involved with contributing to high level strategic conversations for the benefit of the sector and members. You will drive membership growth through business development activities and identify potential opportunities to ensure the organisation remains progressive and future focused. With a background that includes a commercial sales focus and having provided exceptional customer experience, you will be a collaborative leader who works closely with the executive team to achieve strategic goals. The ability to develop strong and authentic relationships across government, universities and the private and not-for-profit sectors as well as a strong strategic focus will be a key for the success of this role.
