With a workforce of around 1,500, the Department of Attorney-General and Justice leads delivery of legal, regulatory, justice and custodial and community based correctional services and ensures the achievement of the Government's justice portfolio priorities.
About Your Opportunity
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) acts as a steward across the broader public service as well as the provision of law and legal policy advice to government, custodian and community based services. The CEO is also the Solicitor for the Northern Territory.
This is an opportunity for an experienced legal practitioner and people leader with proven senior executive experience and capability to contribute to an effective and cohesive public service by building partnerships across agencies delivering key outcomes benefiting all Territorians.
You will have a passion for delivering public services that improve the lives and wellbeing of your community, with a proven track record in leading large complex Departments or Agencies.
You will partner, as a member of the Chief Executive Officer Coordination Committee, to ensure stewardship and effective governance of the Northern Territory public sector.
