The Aged Care Workforce Industry Council brings together a group of extremely experienced and well respected industry leaders, with broad geographic, for profit and not for profit, union, peak body and consumer representation. The council, established in May 2019, will accelerate the implementation of Australia's Aged Care Workforce Strategy - A Matter of Care, leading the industry and the workforce to transition to new standards. The council see this as a time of transformational change across the sector where leaders can work together to improve outcomes of the workforce, as well as for those receiving care and their families.

Reporting to the Council, the CEO will be charged with providing strategic and inspirational leadership, whilst building strong and trusting relationships with the Council Directors and key government and industry stakeholders nationally. This is a pivotal role to the operation of the business model, overseeing financial and operational performance to enable the council to deliver the 14 Strategic Actions and additional related recommendations. Developing strategies aligned with the Council's vision, as well as ensuring compliance with statutory and contractual obligations, this is an opportunity to make change and have a significant and positive impact in the future of the sector.

To be considered for this critical CEO opportunity, you will have significant experience navigating a complex landscape as a CEO or Senior Executive during a time of significant transformational change. As a strategic and emotionally intelligent executive, with highly developed engagement skills, you will be recognised for your ability to build relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders at both a state and federal level. This is a hands on role with the support of a small team that will require you to have proven capabilities in business management including financial and strong governance skills.
