40 hectares, the Melbourne & Olympic Parks precinct has grown and evolved significantly over the past decades, boasting world class venues such as Rod Laver Arena, AAMI Park, Margaret Court Arena and John Cain Arena and many more that can transform to meet the needs of a variety of events and audiences year-round.
The precinct welcomes more than 2.5 million people annually, notably hosting the Australian Open and the city's most celebrated national and international, sports and entertainment events.
Reporting to the CEO, and being a significant contributor to the M&OP leadership team, you will be responsible for leading, developing and implementing an integrated people and culture strategy that supports the execution of M&OP's strategic plan. Providing both strategic and operational expertise to the M&OP Trust, CEO, leadership team and staff, on all people and culture related matters.
With a continuous improvement mindset, you will drive efficiencies, improvements and capability uplift across all People functions, ensuring alignment with M&OP's strategy and all related compliance (IR/ER, OHS). As a strong change agent, you will drive the continued development of M&OP leaders, embedding capabilities across the organisation to enhance M&OP's culture. You are collaborative and pragmatic with a passion for driving and positively shaping M&OP's people, culture and wellness outcomes.
As a Senior People and Culture leader, you will be adaptable and agile, with a demonstrated ability to lead in a fast paced, complex environment. With broad People and Culture experience and a strategic mindset, you will have ideally worked within a large, customer facing environment, with a blended workforce model of permanent, casual and contractors. You understand the staffing challenges and risks associated with event and 24/7 operations and deep knowledge and expertise in organisational design, including 'current state' analytics, operating model and service design, and workforce modelling.
An ability to manage competing stakeholder priorities and successfully deliver the organisation's People and Culture strategy is essential. Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business or related field at a post graduate level are highly desired.
