The Executive Director, Clinical Services/Chief Nursing Officer will provide strong professional clinical nursing and midwifery leadership, vision and strategic direction across the hospitals and services, ensuring a safe and high level of patient care is delivered within the clinical governance framework. As a member of the executive team the ED CS/CNO will provide expert advice and leadership to the Group CE and Board of Management and the Clinical Services teams including Quality and Clinical Risk, Patient Experience, Infection Control, Nursing Midwifery and Allied Health education teams. The ED CS/CNO will also drive innovation through education and research, lead workforce development, continuous clinical performance improvement and the overall Group approach to Accreditation.
With current registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 and appropriate Post Graduate qualifications, the successful ED, Clinical Services/Chief Nursing Officer will have significant experience in a senior executive capacity within a large health service as an innovative, strategic leader with strong stakeholder engagement skills. With a genuine passion for improving health outcomes through new models of care, education and research programs, utilisation of digital technologies and the development of a highly engaged professional clinical workforce, the ED CS/CNO will be a strong and passionate advocate for the profession. The ability to influence and inspire, empower and collaborate and drive inclusive high performing teams will all be key to the success of this role.
