Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the General Manager Corporate Performance will be the key financial strategist for the organisation and a trusted advisor to the CEO, executive leadership team and newly appointed Council. With a focus on challenging the status quo, the GM Corporate Performance will further strengthen the financial sustainability of Central Goldfields Shire Council, optimising financial performance and aligning investment, efficiency and financial decisions to deliver outstanding value to the community. Leading a diverse portfolio including Finance, Risk & Governance, People & Culture and Business Transformation, the role will deliver on internal and external customer engagement expectations, supporting the organisation and its people to be one of the leading regional councils in the state.

With CPA/CA qualifications, you will have the ability to generate creative solutions for varied financial issues and effectively communicate advice. You will be an engaging and proactive leader, with extensive experience in strategic financial management, as well as broader business management. You bring a future-focused approach and the ability to lead organisations through a period of change while enhancing team culture and engagement. Furthermore, you will have experience providing strategic financial advice to CEO's and key stakeholders within a complex service delivery organisations.
