About the role - Manager, Development Services

Melbourne Water are seeking an experienced leader to create an environment that enables the team to deliver outstanding experiences for their customers and key stakeholders whilst ensuring the protection of waterways and future liveability of our communities.

Reporting to the General Manager Waterways and Land, the Development Services team leads the provision of waterways, land and drainage services to the development industry. This includes Greenfields and infill planning, management of Development Services Schemes, referral co-ordination and response and specialized drainage and flooding advice to support development projects. Furthermore, this role will provide strategic and operational guidance and advice regarding policy, planning and project development to achieve integrated water management and stormwater management objectives through working with the development sector.

You bring an impressive blend of technical and leadership capabilities with proven experience working in a complex organisation leading the delivery of complex projects or planning related functions. You are known for your engaging interpersonal style and outstanding stakeholder negotiation skills, with a demonstrated capability to advise and negotiate outcomes and to form strong links with Developers, senior internal stakeholders and other government agencies and departments. You are respected for your transformational leadership and ability to enhance capability and collaboration in multi-disciplinary teams of senior staff and technical professional to delivery measurable sustained outcomes.
