Reporting to the General Manager Organisational Performance, the Manager Safety is responsible for embedding a strong safety culture across the business to ensure the highest standards of safety and wellbeing for all Barwon Water employees, contractors and community. As a key member of the Executive Safety Committee you will provide leading strategic and operational advice to the executive and board. The organisation is currently designing a best practice safety strategy to guide them through the next five years, and the Manager will influence this direction and execute the strategic actions required. With a well-resourced team and an executive who are committed to seeing continual improvement and maturity in safety across the business, you will have exceptional support and a dedicated budget to help you achieve your strategic mandate.
To be considered for this role you will bring proven experience in developing strong safety cultures within complex service delivery organisations. You will be a leader in driving innovation and continuous improvement across a diverse workforce, with excellent relationship-building, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills. You will have an understanding of contractor, construction and operations safety management, and focus on influencing and changing cultural behaviours to ensure the highest standards of health safety and wellbeing, in line with the organisation's values and legislative requirements.
