Victorian Land Registry Services (VLRS) is a young company, owned by one of Australia's largest superannuation funds, on a journey to become a nimble, entrepreneurial technology and data services business with a privileged position as a provider of essential services to the people of Victoria. In 2018 VLRS was granted a 40-year concession to run the commercial operations of the land titles and registry functions for the state of Victoria. VLRS provides a trusted source of identification and verification of property matters, facilitates secure property related transactions, and is looking to grow its business to further enhance its contribution of commercially critical insights from data that has a positive impact and benefit for the Victorian property market, economy and the community.
The Manager Strategic Communications is a newly created position, in a newly created function that will report to the General Manager, Government & Stakeholder Engagement and Registry Services with a matrix reporting line to the CEO, this role will be one of multiple individuals joining a diverse and inclusive community of relentless problem solvers. The Manager Strategic Communications will lead the design and execution of the strategic communications plan for the organisation that resonates with all stakeholders and will develop, reposition and launch the brand in the community. Key deliverables in the first 18 months include working closely with the leaders of the organisation to shape the employee value proposition, prepare the inaugural annual report and enable the vision of VLRS to be realized across all communication channels. Other key activities may include, facilitating opportunities for the organisation to participate and lead key events, present at conferences and publish articles, whilst developing strong relationships with media.
The Manager Strategic Communications will have experience in managing a streamlined approach to brand transformation and strategic communications and will have been a trusted advisor to senior leaders in government, industry, and customer or partner organisations. With a strong and broad understanding of brand, image, communications and media, the Manager Strategic Communications will be collaborative in approach and will facilitate outcomes through inspirational leadership and influence. Furthermore, a good working knowledge of government, politics and public policy will be highly regarded.
