Reporting to the Manager Corporate Governance, this is a newly created and critical role for Moreland City Council. Responsible for managing the Risk, Integrity (including internal audit and self-assessment), Insurance and Resilience functions, the Manager will focus on strategically lifting the maturity and perception of these functions across Council.
Utilising the data from a recent audit, the Unit Manager will bring a contemporary approach to updating the framework, policy and procedural documentation. The Unit Manager will then work with the business managers to strengthen their understanding, assessment and management of risk ensuring sustainable practices and outcomes are adopted and embedded into all aspects of Council's operations.
To ensure success in this role, Moreland City Council are seeking a risk professional who has an engaging, articulate and likeable manner coupled with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and proven leadership experience.
You bring a proven background in leading contemporary risk practices and you demonstrate strategic foresight coupled with operational agility. Furthermore, you demonstrate strong customer service values; a commitment to continuous improvement for the betterment of your organisation and are highly regarded for your impactful staff leadership and ability to drive and empower your team to excellence within a positive cultural environment.
